Dr. Liu was made in Taiwan and grown in California. She misses the four seasons and milking cows through vet school at Cornell, but is happiest in avocado country near her family and alma mater, Berkeley. She has worked with chickens in Ghana, jaguars in Belize, dolphins in Mexico, rhinos in Indonesia, and plenty of starry-eyed students as an instructor for the university conservation medicine program. After her rotating internship, she became an emergency, then exotics, then integrative... and now your versatile general practice veterinarian.

When not acquainting nontraditional creatures and traditional Chinese medicine with each other, she delights in creating enrichment devices for her tiny human in their tiny kitchen. If she is not cooking, crafting, or making music, she is probably with a goat, turtle, or fish. Dr. Liu is fluent in Mandarin, improving her Spanish, and understands Bird.
